We successfully delivered a major refurbishment and fit-out project at Great Yarmouth Racecourse, focused on upgrading the jockey and operational facilities alongside key hospitality areas across the venue.

This project formed part of the racecourse’s wider investment programme aimed at modernising essential spaces used by jockeys, race officials, staff, and visitors. The client required a high-quality refurbishment solution that would improve functionality, comfort and presentation while ensuring the venue remained operational throughout the works.

Our team delivered a comprehensive transformation across multiple areas of the racecourse, creating modern, durable, and efficient facilities designed to support the demands of busy race days and event operations.

PROJECT SCOPE

The refurbishment works included a full upgrade of jockey welfare, operational, and hospitality areas throughout the venue. Our scope included:

Complete weighing room fit-out
Refurbishment of the stewards’ room
Upgrades to male and female changing rooms
Full refurbishment of shower rooms and toilet facilities
Improvements to the valet area
Modernisation of the jockeys’ lounge
Medical and physio room refurbishment
Dedicated warm-up room upgrades
Full plumbing system improvements

Electrical rewire and consumer board upgrades
Installation of new air conditioning systems
CCTV installation and security upgrades
Fire alarm system upgrades
New signage throughout the facility
Installation of new suspended ceiling systems
Refurbishment and facelift works to bars within Grandstand 1 & Grandstand 2

The project was delivered within a carefully managed programme to minimise disruption to race fixtures and ensure all operational deadlines were achieved.
